Purpose and Scope

The ISO/IEC 25000 (Systems and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation: SQuaRE) family are a set of international standards for systems and software, data and IT service quality, which have been widely used for a couple of decades. In the research field, they have been also examined as a tool for performing various analyses and evaluations on systems and software quality.

This workshop aims at sharing such research outcomes and issues, and experience of practical applications of the SQuaRE family, in order to promote much more fruitful research and practice for quality systems and software products. The scope of this workshop includes:

• Experience of research and practical application of the quality models and/or measurements to:
  • Requirements analysis
  • Engineering
  • Testing and evaluation of quality
  • Certification of product, data, and IT service
• Quality consideration on emerging technologies such as AI, Big data, Blockchain, etc.
• Quality consideration on new types of development processes such as Agile, DevOps, etc.
• New ideas on improving the SQuaRE family

Call for Papers

We encourage submissions on topics relevant to IWESQ, especially experience reports and practical case studies. All submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on their clarity, relevance, technical quality, and interest to workshop participants.

Paper submissions must be written in English. Authors may prepare their submissions using either the CEURART single-column format (CEURART template) or the IWESQ Word template (Word template).

A regular paper should be at least 10 standard pages in CEURART format. Papers of 5–9 standard pages will be categorized as short papers. For submissions prepared using the IWESQ Word template, the paper category will be determined based on the equivalent length in CEURART format.

Papers must be submitted electronically through the IWESQ 2026 EasyChair submission system .

The workshop proceedings will be submitted to CEUR-WS.org for online publication. Authors of accepted papers initially submitted using the IWESQ Word template will be required to prepare the camera-ready version in the CEURART single-column format.

CEUR-WS proceedings are indexed by DBLP in many cases; however, indexing of individual volumes is determined by DBLP and is not guaranteed.

At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the workshop and present the paper.
